AFL Masters National Carnival
The carnival was played in Geelong, and we saw teams from all over Australia compete in perfect weather conditions.
The men’s health round was held midweek Wednesday 4th October in support of the E.J. Whitten Foundation. Each team wore the EJW Foundation armbands, in recognition of the 20,000 Australian men who are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer each year, resulting in 3,300 deaths.
Saturday 7th October was the Grand Final Day and that evening over 1,100 people celebrated the week at a cocktail party back at Skilled Stadium.
Nick Holland presented the E.J. Whitten Medals to the best player of each division and spoke of the importance of taking the time to get tested for men’s health matters.
2017 was another outstanding carnival, and we all look forward to Coffs Harbour in October 2018.
