EJ Whitten Foundation – Legends Game
To all our many supporters and generous donors to the E.J. Whitten Foundation.
Today’s report in the papers is specifically around the monies raised by Baker Smith Management and the Legends game.
We are a benefactor of that game which contracts us to received $100,000 per year.
We do not and have not benefitted from any other proceeds around the running of that game.
We have on public record that we have given on average 30% of all gross funds raised to various benefactors before costs.
After costs its represents approx 50%+ which is very substantial.
The E.J. Whitten Foundation looks to a bigger and brighter future.
The Foundation recently having received a State Government grant for awareness programs and research into men’s health has appointed Barry Besanko to CEO and Ted Whitten Jnr to a new Ambassador role of Executive Director which it believes will bring greater benefits to its growing list of benefactors.
The E.J. Whitten Foundation and Baker Smith Management have also parted company allowing the EJ Whitten Foundation to more directly work with its stakeholder interests across a range of event activities. This move goes toward ensuring that the maximum possible returns and subsequent benefits flow to those institutions, individuals and families dealing with prostate cancer and men’s health issues.
The new structure will allow for a higher level of involvement in managing events and awareness programs such as our new involvement with Cricket Victoria and the Melbourne Stars this summer, commencing Dec 2015.
